- Promote awareness of proper surface preparation and application processes to help prolong the lifespan of customers’ products
- Work closely with customers to understand the implications of environmental legislation and in the practical work of reducing the environmental impact of application processes

During 2009 Beckers was supported by The Natural Step, an international non-profit organisation, to devise and enact two pilot studies to examine social, economic and environmental sustainability. The first pilot study completed in 2009 charts quantitative measures which can be followed up annually. The analysis empowers the pilot site to. The second pilot study to be finalised in 2010 examines the complete life cycle of products from raw to reclaimed materials encompassing both human and ecological aspects.
Beckers aim is to use these two pilot studies as the basis of a program throughout the group. Beckers ambition is to assess and understand its current environmental impact, establish a knowledge base to guide future sustainable strategies and actions, and inspire the innovation of environmentally sustainable solutions and products.
