Research and Development has always been one of the cornerstones of our success. We continue our high levels of investment to ensure an ongoing high level of innovation and ongoing close customer support. Beckers has a large, well qualified experienced team of chemists and technicians working closely with the products and with the customers.
Each business area has an independent R&D department focused on ensuring quality management, supporting the day-to-day challenges of our customers, and developing new products for our customers.
These dedicated R&D teams can draw on a depth of expertise and resource to enable a fast response to our customers requirements. In the industrial field they employ pilot lines and application centres to test products in the application environment; as well as working closely with customers at their own application lines.
Additionally there are teams looking at longer term development. These teams have been successful in predicting trends and developing products to meet them. This had been achieved by combining a scientific understanding of how the products function with a close knowledge of the market. For this work Beckers have invested heavily in analytic equipment and also sponsor university research to gain more in-depth knowledge.
In ColArt the teams are experienced in understanding and matching the qualities of the colour, and also the requirements of the artist.
