List of product types for Coil Coatings markets
Beckers serves coil coaters and their customers in the architectural, building, transport, domestic appliance, furniture and many other industries.
BeckryPrim
A wide range of primers for exterior or interior use on different substrates and for different topcoats.
BeckryShine
A transparent topcoat which provides a pearlescent appearance. Available in different resin technologies.
BeckryFluor
One of our most UV-resistant coatings, based on a mixture of fluorocarbon and acrylic resins. Available in semi-gloss and low gloss. Especially suitable for facades in residential areas.
BeckryTherm exterior
Thermal control coating systems (primer and topcoat) using a range of high durability binders and organic/inorganic pigments selected to deliver the best balance of durability, stability and thermal control performance, while offering a wide palette of attractive roofing colours.
BeckryPlast
This family covers a range of PVC-plastisols. They can be used in film thickness from 100-200 microns giving the coated surface toughness and high corrosion resistance. Typical end use is roofs in corrosive areas. eye-catching colours. Mainly used for buildings with exclusive design.
BeckryCoat
A wide range of backing coats with different mechanical properties and based on polyester or epoxy resins.
BeckryDuro
This system is a very UV-resistant, with improved scratch resistance and, in combination with high build primers, can reach film thicknesses up to 50 microns. Can be an alternative to plastisols in corrosive environments. Typically used for roofs.
BeckryTech
A range of products based on especially developed polyesters. This family gives the best possible UV resistance of polyester-based coatings. Recommended for roofings and sidings.
BeckryDuro
This system is a very UV-resistant, with improved scratch resistance and, in combination with high build primers, can reach film thicknesses up to 50 microns. Can be an alternative to plastisols in corrosive environments. Typically used for roofs.
List of product types for Special Coatings Market
Beckers offers high performance coating systems specially engineered for the ACE, Truck and Defence markets.
2K Polyurethane:
A family of high performance products offering one and two coat systems. Environmental considerations are very important to the Becker product strategy so both high solids and water borne polyurethanes are available.
2K Non Isocyanate Systems:
For situations where the use of traditional polyurethane technology is precluded, Beckers Isocyanate free technology offers a practical alternative.
1K Anticorrosive systems:
A range of solvent and waterborne coatings are available which can serve as primers or one coat finishes. These coatings are suitable for the coating of metal components for the automotive sector and are available as primers or one coat finishes.
These coatings can be tailored for application by conventional spray, airless or airmix equipment with or without electrostatic charge.
Traditionally the above markets have been associated with the painting of steel, but today's requirements include structural plastics such as SMC, DMC and DCPD along with ABS and RIM. As part of Beckers philosophy to provide a total coating package for our key market sectors, paints are available for these materials which exhibit comparable colour and performance to their metal counterparts.
In addition it is possible to provide coatings which can be applied inside the mould as part of the forming process for certain plastic parts.
Consumer Design Finishes (CDF)
CDF focuses on market needs for decorating common consumer electronic products such as mobile phones, computers, vacuum cleaners, washers and driers. We bring colors and designs to these products so their presence in consumers’ daily life is enhanced. To achieve this goal, we continue to use the technologies and tools that we know the best, which is to paint these products. Painting is still the dominating approach to decorating consumer electronic products today. Increasing demands by consumers to maximise personalisation and by manufacturers to lower production cost have led to the development of new decoration techniques. Some of these new approaches incorporate certain levels of painting application while others are completely independent of coatings operations.
CDF is building up capabilities to enable us to stay at the forefront of such transitions. For example, we have been working on coating technologies that are compatible with various image transfer processes such as dye sublimation, hotstamping, hydrographic etc. These image transferring methodologies allow for more personalisation and design latitudes comparing to conventional basecoat coloring systems. Specially designed coating layers coupled with thorough understanding of the transferring mechanism enable us to provide total decoration solutions to our customers.
Together with partners in different technical arenas, we are also developing unconventional film decoration technologies. Suitable films pre-printed with desired featured will be incorporated as part of a component of the finished product. Secondary post treatments may be designed to further enhance its performance characteristics.
CDF is constantly evaluating and re-positioning itself to be at the forefront of the design and finishing marketplace.
