Saab attracted a lot of attention when their concept car, the PhoeniX, was introduced at the Geneva 2011 Motor Show.

With its "aeromotional" design it establishes a new reference point for the future products to be expected from Saab. The PhoeniX was designed by Executive Design Director Jason Castriota and his team.
During spring 2010 Saab Design was introduced to the Trend Collection created by Becker Industrial Coatings' Consumer Design Finishes (CDF) Division. This inspired Saab to approach Beckers at the end of last year when in the process of designing and building the PhoeniX. We suggested the Ecochromo developed at our Italian site. We knew this was on target when we were informed that Saab was looking for a special coating to emphasize the "liquid metal" effect for their concept car.
