Organisation
The Beckers Group is organised into business areas; Becker Industrial Coatings and ColArt, each specialised into their own segment. Each has its own management team, and specialist product development, production and commercial teams. The business areas are also profit centres in their own right, while the Beckers Group has overall responsibility for accounting, finance and reporting.
This follows the Beckers Group philosophy of using its global reach for efficiency, while ensuring good local support and decision-making.
Management
The board of the Beckers Group oversees strategic development. It is chaired by Jenny Lindén Urnes, who has served on the board for 8 years, and has served on the boards of the business areas since 1996. The board comprises of the chairman, four independent non-executive directors, the CEO, CFO and two employee representatives.
Executive Management is led by the CEO, Erik Urnes. Erik has worked in the Beckers Group since 2003, initially as Managing Director of ColArt Americas, then as Business Area Manager of the ColArt business area. Erik’s team includes the Business Area Managers of each business area, a Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer and Business Development Director.
Executive management is responsible for developing the Beckers Group strategy with the business areas, while operational responsibility lies with the business area management.
